3 DAYS TRIP FROM ERRACHIDIA TO MARRAKECH
Day 1: Errachidia – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Rissani – Erg Chebbi
Today, we will pick you up from your hotel/riad in Errachidia and drive you to the deep southeast of Morocco. Allowing you to take some photos of the fertile Ziz valley on the way to the golden dunes. After an hour’s drive, you will arrive at Erfoud( A town known for dates and fossils). You may have a short break to have your morning coffee, then continue your exploration. Discover the fossils workshop in Erfoud and immerse yourself in the weekly market (Saturday). Your drive continues to Rissani (highly recommend visiting its market as it is authentic especially Tuesday-Thursday or Sunday). After that, you can have your lunch by ordering the local Pizza called Madfona ( Please, ask your driver/guide for the recommendation). After lunch, you may visit Moulay Ali Sherif tombs before continuing to Erg Chebbi dunes. You will experience a camel ride to watch the sunset over the dunes and you will be glamping in a desert camp on the edge of the dunes. dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Erg Chebbi Dunes – Erfoud – Touroug – Tinejdad- Todra Gorge – Boumalne Du Dades.
Wake up to see the sunrise on the dunes and come back to the camp to have your breakfast. later on, we will leave the camp toward Boumalne du Dades. You will view the canal irrigation system on the way before stopping for lunch in Touroug or Tinejdada. After lunch, we drive to the magnificent Todra gorge with its green valley. You will have several stops for photos before you walk into the gorge and breath fresh air. After these relaxing moments, we will leave for the next destination, Boumalne Du Dades. Overnight in a hotel with dinner and breakfast.
Day 3: Boumalne Du Dades – Rose valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou -Atlas Mountains -Marrakech
Your trip continues after breakfast in the hotel. You will have a stop to smell the roses (April-May) or buy rose products on the way. We will arrive at Ouarzazate ( Hollywood of Morocco) you may have a stop for a panoramic view of the kasbah Taourirt and a visit to the film studios. After that, we drive to the Kasbah Ait Benhaddou for lunch. Have your lunch and explore the movie’s background site with your local guide. Later on, you will cross the high atlas mountains and you may stop for a cooperative of argan oil to get info concerning extracting the oil. Arrive at Marrakech and drop off at your accommodation.
